A brand new event for Peterborough STEM Festival!

We have partnered with the Institution of Engineering and Technology to bring a FIRST LEGO League  Junior Expo to Peterborough, an exciting STEM programme for 6-9 year olds.

Taking place in Peterborough on Saturday 19th May we’re inviting local teams to register, learn and compete but most important of all – have fun!

This year’s theme is Aqua Adventure with teams researching the topic, constructing a motorised  LEGO model and then presenting their ideas on a Show Me poster.

Explore how you use water at home or in your community, the water’s journey, and how to improve a part of this journey.

Any group 6-9 year olds can form a team (maximum of six children per team), whether you’re a local primary school, scouting group, code club or just friends looking for a fun challenge!  Find our more at https://firstlegoleague.theiet.org/junior/

What you will need
Participating teams will need a LEGO WeDo 2.0 kit (discounted rate available) and a registration pack from FIRST LEGO League Junior which will include a LEGO “Inspire Set”.

Team coaches don’t need any particular expertise – just bags of enthusiasm to help the children develop life skills while investigating a STEM topic.

Please note, this event is only open to registered teams.  No general public spectating is permitted.
